Tour overview

Byblos is a city in the Mount Lebanon Governorate of Lebanon. It is believed to have been first occupied between 8800 and 7000 BC and continuously inhabited since 5000 BC, making it one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Known mainly for its ancient souk, its fortress, and its historical port.

While Laklouk is a small mountainous village in Byblos district and has a magnificent agricultural lakes view that makes the region looks like heaven on earth.

Afka is also a village in Byblos district, known for its impressive cave and waterfall. Located in a large cliff 200 meters up the cave is the source and spring of Nahr Ibrahim and spits huge amounts of water, which is most impressive in winter. It is said to be the place where Adonis first met and kissed Astarte (Venus in Roman and Aphrodite in Greek) and where he was subsequently killed by a wild boar dispatched by Astarte’s jealous husband.
